Office Updates

As I mentioned in my previous letter, this was going to be a time of change and adaptation.  We will be saying goodbye to a good friend and welcoming a few new faces to our team.  Meghan is still with our team but is taking on some different responsibilities for the office and her chairside appointments will be more limited.  Dory McLaughlin, RDH, has been working with us for the past 6 years as a part-time hygienist.  Many of you have seen her over the years and we are thrilled to have her join us on a full-time basis, I know you will enjoy her expert care.

We are excited to welcome Lindsay Brown, who will be helping Amber in the dental assisting department. Lindsey grew up in rural New Hampshire and just recently graduated from UVM.  She likes to spend time with her family, boating on Lake Champlain, hiking, fishing, and playing sports.  Lindsey is currently working in elder care and has aspirations to become a physician’s assistant.  She is excited to have a new experience in dentistry at our office.

Lastly, Laurie has been the friendly face and voice that you have all heard for almost 5 years now and has helped the office run smoothly throughout her tenure.  She will be voluntarily stepping away from the office for personal reasons and we all wish her the best!  Laurie will be sporadically present through the month of July training her successor, Jen, so please feel free to share your thoughts with her through our office email as in person meetings are not possible.

With that – I would like to welcome Jennifer Clark to our team.  Jenn has worked in varying capacities in the dental field over the past 15 years, having been a dental assistant and most recently in charge of patient scheduling.  She was born in the south but has lived most of her life in Northern NY and Vermont.  When not taking a roadtrip with her husband in their Mustang Convertible, Jenn enjoys cooking, reading, and spending time with her family and 3 dogs.

I know that you will all give Jenn a warm welcome as she settles into her new role at my office.  We look forward to seeing you all and we wish you a very happy, healthy, and joyous Vermont Summer !!

We have been open for patient care for just over a month and thanks to my wonderful team we have adapted to our new normal.  Those of you who have visited us, have seen the changes to the office and have commented that they are thankful for all the steps we have taken to ensure their safety.  I would like to thank all of you for your trust, encouragement, continued patronage, and understanding during this process.  Please continue to share your thoughts and experiences with us.
